The beats are actually made of three different aspects and a driving center beat. The first two of the aspects are duplicates of the original beat, with different samples triggered, panned hard left and right, and autofiltering each other, meaning the left beats auto-filters envelope is attached to the output of the right beat, and the right beats auto-filters envelope is attached to the output of the left! The third aspect is a chopped up breaky beat that flows between the others.
This (combined with some subtle fx and beat repeats) has created something I didn't expect, an everchanging beat that can never repeat itself, the beat is more textural and liquid than anything else I've created before or since.
This song really is a special one, in that its one of the few that really works on its own, as well as part of the album.
